Our chimney and parapet wall works are nearly completed on our site in Winton. We have removed three large chimneys and five meters of parapet wall that was causing water ingress into the property below. Two of the chimneys have been removed to below roof level to prevent further water ingress. The third chimney was built into the side of a dormer, to over come this we have taken the chimney down to the top of the dormer and wrapped the remaining masonry in roofing felt to prevent further water ingress. It was evident that some of the lead in the parapet walls had begun to split and fail, we have removed these areas of failing lead and replaced them with 1 meter lengths of code 4 lead with overlapping welted joints. All roof tiling works have been completed and the property is now water tight. The scaffold will be removed shortly and we will starting our next job replacing some fencing in Boscombe.
