The BPS team have completed another masonry repair job today. A block of flats in Bournemouth with cracks in the external brickwork has been repaired using bricks from the properties bin store. The buildings external skin is made with Beacon Hill bricks which are very difficult to acquire since the company no longer produces them. To overcome this issue we agreed with the directors of the block that we would remove the top two courses of brick work from the bin store and use these bricks to carry out various repairs around the building. The team have taken out multiple cracked bricks and stitched in new bricks to perfectly match the masonry around the rest of the property. Any unused bricks taken from the bin store have been set aside for any necessary future repairs.
